Thank you . . .
for the thoughtful gifts during Teacher Appreciation Week!
We love our works of art from the students, and the beautiful bouquets of flowers are stunning! We appreciate all the delicious lunches and snacks being served every day. You're the best!

Mrs. Perine and Mrs. Angus will be traveling to BugSafari by way of the Bremerton ferry to Seattle.
We will arrive at the Bremerton ferry terminal at 8:30 a.m. The ferry departs at 8:45.
The ferry fare is $14.85 for vehicle and driver, add $6.90 for each passenger (youth $5.55).

"How-To" Expository Writing Unit
During the month of May we are focusing our writing on nonfiction. Students will be writing
individual 5-10 Step "How-To" procedural power point presentations. This is a precursor to the procedural expository writing skills that are required in the upper grade levels.
This year we are asking for students to demonstrate their "how-to" knowledge, and special skills in the classroom as we photograph each step. This will enable their photos to be inserted into their step-by-step power point slides.
Please help your child decide on a "How-To" topic that can be demonstrated and photographed at school. Below are some examples:
* How to be a Self-Manager
* How to plant a seed
* How to be responsible at school
* How to be a good friend
* How to knit
* How to braid your hair
* How to tie your shoe
* How to count money
If your child needs props for his/her "How-To" please send them in within the next week. Thanks!
