NATIONAL TURN YOUR TV/VG (Video Games) OFF WEEK! (April 18 - 21)

We are inviting our students to turn their TV and Video games off this week to celebrate

National Turn Your TV/VG Off Week. 

The Multiage Manatee Class is challenging

the Multiage Monkey Class

to a competition for Turn Your TV OFF Week! 

The winning class will win a Karaoke Ice Cream Party, along with a special surprise

 from Mrs. Rivera, on Friday, April 22nd.  

We will be completing graphs to monitor daily coupon counts. 

 Please send signed daily designated coupons in with your child when they

do not watch TV.

Grandparent's Day!

Our special day for Grandparent's Day is Tuesday, April 19th, from 2:30 - 3:10. 

If you would like your child to go home with their visiting grandparents,

please send a note in the morning, as the office gets a bit overloaded

 with requests at the end of the day.  Thanks!

Please send in clean, recycled 32 oz. and 6 oz. cans.  We will be using them for our year-end celebratory trophy awards.  We need lots and lots!

~POETRY NIGHT~

Our 4th Annual Poetry Night is coming up!  Mark your calendar for Wednesday, April 20th, at 6:30.  Join us to celebrate our talented poets, as they read their personal collections of creative poems.  

We need snacks!  Please send in healthy snacks for our hungry manatees, as our cupboard is running low.  Thank you!

National Turn Your TV Off Week is coming up in two weeks: April 18 - 22.  The Manatee class will be participating in our annual challenge to keep our TV and video games turned off all week.  A coupon book will be coming home in the Wednesday Go-Home Envelope.  Thre is a coupon for each day of the week, along with a packet of information.  Every day your child does not watch TV, please send the corresponding coupon (signed by you) to school.  We will create a graph to observe our progress over the week. 

Our class will be competing with other classes for a reward.

Please continue to send in recycled cans for the end of the year "Manatee Tin Canatee Trophies."  We need 32 oz. and 6 oz. cans.  Thanks for  your help. :)
